Organization Mission
Youth Participation in Progress Development InitiativeO is a community based organization (CBO) registered with CAC, and the Katsina state youths/clubs and association edict 1986 with registration No. KTSG/YC/7103. The organization was established to operate within Katsina state with the aim of transforming vulnerable and marginalized communities to access basic needs of life, our objective also include; to establish and assist in the promotion of social development activities, to promote gender based programs that ensure wellness of individuals and the community at large in the area of development, to assist in the development of progressive attitude in our society and communities for sustainable development, to promote peace, justice and unity among the youths round the world by partnering with initiatives, institutions, governments and individual with similar interest, to assist government in attaining her development and national goals, and to encourage, promote and conduct research on areas of interest. The organization is working towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with more focus and emphasis on; Goal no.3 (good health and well-being), Goal no.4 (quality education), Goal no.5 (gender equality), Goal no. 16 (peace justice and strong institutions), in rural and urban communities using the mechanism of community engagement, public enlightenment, advocacy, capacity building and support/empowerment.
