GBV Survivors Ebonyi, Abakaliki 2014 Gender: We are currently working on a project titled “Transformational Response to Gender Based Violence in religious institutions. IGLI understands the issues of Gender Based Violence has become widespread, with highest prevalent rate among the challenges confronting the society today, the church in particular and the nation at large. Thus we have develop the project “CON PREVENT GBV”, with the objective of confronting this danger in the society. It is our avowed understanding that issues of Gender Based Violence among women and youth in particular poses significant risk to individuals, families, the church, the communities and the society at large.
Youth FCT, Abuja Municipal 2023 We however are creating awareness, sensitization, mobilization and capacity enhancement of School leaders, church and community leaders, families, and networking as well as engaging relevant stakeholders, to break the silence culture, offer rehabilitations linkages. We set up SGBV free clubs in schools. This is a 3years project at first instance and we have conducted baseline in 25 faith base schools in Nigeria. During our outing, we discovered that issue of menstrual circle among girls have also become a point of Gender Based Violence in our secondary schools, so we started by identifying indigent school girls, who have stared menstruating in Faith Based Primary and Secondary schools. Our 2025 project is to help provide them with safe sanitary pads for hygienic living to save the girl child. With this in mind, we anticipate a collaborative linkage. We have done mapping already and will be glad to provide data as appropriate for collaboration.

Immersive story telling methodologies will be used to guide participants to immerse themselves in the experiences of the victims of GBV and explore how cultural and religious beliefs and practice drive GBV and they will themselves generate actionable activities that they can implement in their sphere of influence to reduce GBV and make their community safer and more supportive of WWD
