Call for Applications: Promoting Local Response Capacity and Partnership in Nigeria (PLRCAP) Advocacy Capacity Strengthening Workshop for Local and National NGOs working in Northwest and Northeast Nigeria.
We are pleased to announce a call for applications for a PLRCAP workshop
“Advocacy Capacity Strengthening for Local and National Organizations working in Northwest and Northeast Nigeria to strengthen advocacy skills and strategies”.
As an initiative of the Nigeria INGO Forum (NIF), PLRCAP is a demand-driven institutional capacity strengthening program, targeting Nigerian NGOs working in humanitarian contexts of Nigeria. Through its NGO Support Hub, PLRCAP delivers a range of cost-effective support opportunities to support and accompany Nigerian frontline local and national actors, their staff and volunteers in their growth and sustainability objectives.
NIF with technical support from Norwegian Refugee Council, through PLRCAP, is actively integrating advocacy into its localization effort and the planned Advocacy Capacity Strengthening Workshop focuses on enhancing the capacity of national NGOs in North-West and North-East Nigeria to strengthen their advocacy skills and strategies, empowering them to effectively represent local concerns and needs within the humanitarian landscape.
The workshop is open to a maximum of 30 Nigerian local and national organisations with operations in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria (20 from each zone), who are interested in building their knowledge of advocacy strategies.
Organizations interested in applying for the workshop must meet the following qualifications:
1. Registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission for at least three years.
2. Active Advocacy Engagement: Demonstrate ongoing involvement in advocacy initiatives.
3. Commitment to Capacity Building: Show interest in enhancing knowledge and skills in advocacy strategies.
4. Geographical Presence: Have an established presence within the targeted regions of focus.
5. Community Engagement Expertise: Possess a solid understanding of local issues and the ability to effectively engage with community stakeholders and local authorities.
6. Relevant Experience: Provide evidence of previous advocacy efforts or highlight challenges faced in community engagement.
Organizations that meet these criteria are strongly encouraged to apply.
The workshop will run for 2 days in Abuja 12-13 March 2025. Selected organizations would need to commit to:
· Attendance of the Executive Director or Head of Advocacy of the applying organization.
· Full attendance and participation in the entire two-day workshop in Abuja.
· Complete all requested surveys and actively provide feedback on all course activities
· Completion of all assignments, including pre and post satisfaction surveys and assessments.

Regard to this hunger free for women or women for zero hunger i my as the executive Director of Almagda Community Development initiative one of the civil society non profit organisation that that was best in the northeastern part of the country Nigeria one of the effected area in nigeria with conflict that mostly affected women and children having this challenge for the women with hunger, my thought is the women should be empowered after giving them the food support then they should be also train with skills of different aspects that may help them tackle some present and the for challenges,such as tailoring, pomade making, bakery and other things that can give immediate support.so with this the women can be easy fight these challenges and become Zero hunger.

He is the Executive Director of Focus on the Needy Care Foundation (FONEC), leading initiatives in human rights, education, and governance. He also runs Five Star Fashion World Ltd and Imsan Capacity Building Advisory, focusing on business, financial literacy, and leadership training. With experience in international NGOs, he is committed to youth empowerment and community development.
